Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2007 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Mrs. Norris Begnaud, age 85, the former Hazel Bergeron, who passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 1:05 a.m. at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus.
Mrs. Begnaud was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. She had been a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville. Mrs. Begnaud was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Norris Begnaud of Arnaudville; one daughter, Leanna B. Bonin and her husband, Aymar, "Pip", of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Ricky Bonin and his wife, Caroline, of Broussard, Kimberly Ann B. Taylor and her husband, Bernard, of Arnaudville, and Joni Kay B. Cormier and her husband, Kent, of Scott; five great grandchildren; one brother, Jessie Bergeron and his wife, Shirley, of Sunset; and one sister, Leola Edmond of Arnaudville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olide Bergeron and mother the former Alma Fitzgerald, both natives of Arnaudville; one brother, George Bergeron and one sister, Della Mae Cormier.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
