He was born in Palmerton on June 21, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert and Lois (Rudelitch) Berger.
He had worked as a painter for Mager Painting in Brodheadsville for the past 17 years.
He was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ in Trachsville.
John was a member of the Indian Mt. Rod & Gun Club in Kresgeville and was an avid collector of Native American artifacts.
He is survived by two brothers, Collin Berger of Kunkletown and Glenn Berger of Kresgeville; two sisters, Lori Sterner and her husband, Randy, of Palmerton and Barbara Kreger and her husband, Todd, of Kunkletown; nieces and nephews: Lee Ann and Scott Berger, Traci and Adam Kreger, and Matt Sterner; one great-niece, Katelyn; and several aunts and uncles.
Interment in the Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Palmerton.
