454. Jacob I. Bergen, b. Nov. 9, 1782; bap. In Cranbury, by the Rev. Mr. Smith; d. April 13, 1836; m. Feb. 4, 1806, Syche (480), dau. Of John Bergen (440), of Whitehouse, N.J., b. April 17, 1784, d. about 1868.
Was a portion of his life a farmer near Cranbury, N.J., inheriting and occupying the farm on which his father resided, afterwards removed to Milltocon near New Brunswick, and a number of years a member of the consistory of the Protestant Reformed Dutch Church of said city, of which he and his wife became members Oct. 20, 1810.
