Curtis was born on April 7th, 1927 in Lehigh, Oklahoma to Vincent Beratto and Ethel (Caldwell) Beratto. The family moved to California for a short while and returned to Lehigh where he attended school. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1948 until 1951 and after his honorable discharge, met and married Martha Ellen Owens on June 1st, 1956 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in December of 2009. Mr. Beratto worked for 29 years at the U. S. Silica Plant in Mill Creek, retiring as a pumper. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Vincent and two sisters, Irene Farmer and Laura Heath.
Mr. Beratto is survived by four sons, Steve Beratto and his wife Sharon, Jerry Beratto and his wife Tonya, Chance Beratto and his wife Becky, all of Mill Creek and Kelly Beratto and his wife Sonja of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two brothers, Charlie Beratto of Lehigh and Hubert Beratto of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Rose Nanney of Ravia, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be Desmon Curtis Beratto, Steven Chase Beratto, Garrett Wayne Beratto, Bryce Keith Beratto, Willis Craig Hughes and John Farley. Honorary Bearer is Christian Shane Beratto.
