Clinard Bentley, 79, of Shelbiana, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born October 4, 1933, in Pikeville, the son of the late George and Della Chaney Bentley.
He was a retired superintendent with Kentucky Carbon, a former member of the UMWA and a member of the Sutton Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Bentley Pruitt, three brothers, Irvin Bentley, Edgar Bentley and David Bentley, and three sisters, Christine Coleman, Pauline Adkins and Sue Balser.
He is survived by his wife, Willa Mae Gray Bentley, sons, Clinard Keith (Linda) Bentley, of Shelbiana, and Jody (Susan) Bentley, of Pikeville, a daughter, Wendy Renee Bentley, of Shelbiana, six grandchildren, Charity Collins, William Timothy Robertson, Bobby Kendrick, Christopher "Critter" Adkins, Chris Kendrick and Joe
"Big Joe" Adkins; and six great-grandchildren, Blake Collins, Sidney Collins, Madison Adkins, Emma Robertson, Caillyn Kendrick and Luke Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the J.W. Call and Son Funeral Home, Pikeville. Entombment will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery,
East Shelbiana.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
