Aaron B. Benson is the oldest of 8 children born to the late Gaston and Bonnie Hayes Benson of Johnston County, NC. He was followed in death ( in order ) by a sister, Margaret Dixon of Selma, NC, a brother, Durwood Benson of Smithfield, NC. Aaron was also followed in death by his wife of 40 years, Evelyn Ann Jordan Benson of Clayton, NC. They are both survived by one son and his wife, Mr. John A. and Tammy P. Benson of Clayton, NC. Aaron is also survived by two grand children, Mrs. Brandi B. Chavis and her husband Steven of Clayton, NC, a grand son, Mr. Jaron B. Benson of Clayton, NC, and one great grand son, James Aaron Chavis of Clayton, NC. Aaron was a career construction worker in some form or fashion of which his latter 10 working years owned his own paint contracting business, Clayton Paint Company in Clayton NC. He retired in 1986. Aaron, among his many loves, enjoyed fishing and hunting very much. He also was an avid boxing and professional wrestling fan, country music fan, and enjoyed the hobby of CB radio communications.
