Benjamin Harrison Bartley born in Fannin County Texas 1889. His family moved to Lynn County about 1912. He married Roxie Miller in 1914 and they moved to Lubbock about 1920. They remained in Lubbock until after the war then they moved to California where they remained the rest of their lives. Roxie preceded Benny in death, in 1960. Their children, Marvin, Joe, and Newman all served in the military during the war, and their daughter, Lucille worked in the Pantex Plant at Amarillo, Texas where artillery shells and bombs were made. Benny passed in 1973 and he was laid to rest beside his wife of forty six years. They were members of the church of Christ.
