She was born January 12, 1925, in Asheville, N.C., and moved to Hampton in 1950.
Surviving are her three sons, Arnold Baker of Hampton, Va., Jerry Baker of Bristol, Tenn., and Harrell Baker of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; three grandchildren, Ganon and Jonathan Baker, and Kristina Bieschke-Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin B. Baker, and her grandson, Reed Baker.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, in the Hampton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Reed Baker Outstanding Senior Award, Community Foundation, 7325 Beaufort Springs Drive, Suite 210, Richmond, VA 23225-8470.
