Mrs Sarah Bennett Selby was born January 24, 1947 and died May 31, 1934, age 87 years. Mrs Selby was born in Overton county but had practically spent her entire life in Putnam with the exception of a few years spent in Birmingham, Ala and in Chattanooga, Tn.
She professed faith in Christ at the age of 14, joining the M E Church.
She is survived by 4 children, 2 sons, W V, Birmingham, Ala and Steve, Chattanooga; 2 daughters, Mrs N C Cooper and Bessie Cumby, Algood; 10 grandchildren. Her husband preceded her to the grave 4 years ago.
