AUSTIN -- Adelia S. Bennett, 92, a resident of St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin and a retired housekeeper, died Wednesday (Jan. 20, 1993) at the nursing home.
Adelia S. Baumgartner was born April 1, 1900, in Waltham Township, Mower County. She attended the German school at St. Michael's Lutehran Church in Waltham where she was a member and sang in the choir. She and a sister moved to Cincinnati and she was a housekeeper for families there for 30 years. After retiring in 1971, she moved to Austin and resided at High Rise Towers until entering the nursing home. She was married and later divorced.
Survivors include a sister, Flora (Mrs. Arthur) Paape of Waltham; and a brother, Gust Baumgartner, also of Waltham. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel here, with the Rev. Bruce Wilder officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
