Albert Ray Bennett, 85, passed away Sept. 27, 2013, at Norton Audobon Hospital in Louisville.
Albert Ray "Honey" Bennett was the son of the late Roy Booth and Mable Foreman Bennett. He was a graduate of Taylorsville High School. He retired from TV Sales and service. He was a retired Army veteran and faithfully served his country during the Korean War.
He was a part-time employee where he worked as a greeter at Walmart in Shelbyville. He attended the Bethesda Church Of God in Shelbyville.He also attended Living Waters Church in Mount Washington, Open Door Christian Center in Bloomfield and the Ashes Creek Assembly Of God. His church attendance was in support of the many ministries his wife started.
He leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Mavis Inghram Bennett, his wife of 42 years: as well as his children, Vonda Martin (Kirby) of Taylorsville and Kyle Bennett of Taylorsville; five grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. at
Greenwell_Houghlin Funeral Home.
Services: Monday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Chad Goodlett and Bro. Terry Burkhead officiating. Burial: Valley Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Bethesda Church Of God.

I remember Albert Ray from Living Waters, he was such a gentle soul and loved his children greatly. He never meet a stranger and always wore a huge smile. Rest in peace brother.|
