Virginia Marie McCollum, 88, of Batesville died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in a Batesville nursing home.
Born Jan. 29, 1924, in Sand Ridge, she was the daughter of Grover and Vashti Gaines Bennett. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Gene "Butch" McCollum and Mark McCollum, both of Batesville; two grandchildren, Paige McCollum and Rileigh McCollum; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert McCollum; four brothers, Gene Bennett, Dwight "DW" Bennett, Grover Bennett Jr. and Alfred Bennett; and a sister, Betty Melton.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner with Steve Long officiating.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Melton, Jerry Sandefur, Scott "Scooter" Floyd, Wally Dacus, Warren Ballard and Stacy Wright.
Honorary pallbearers are all her nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 tonight at Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville.
