Mrs. Rhoda J. Bennett
Died - At the home, this city, Saturday morning, July 1, 1905 at 1:15 o'clock Mrs. Rhoda J. Bennett, wife of Nordan Bennett, aged 64 years and 20 days.
Mrs. Rhoda Jane Noble, daughter of William and Mary A. Noble was born in Brown County, Ohio, June 10, 1841, and came with her parents to Illinois in 1855, the family settling near the Liberty church in Mc Donough County. Here her mother died February, 1856. November 15, 1860 she was married to Nordan Bennett and to this union was born three sons, Raymond, Ransford and Lorenzo, who together with the father survive the death of the mother and wife.
In September, 1868 she united with the Christian church and was baptized by Elder Coffee, at Blandinsville, where she held her membership until January 18, 1904, where she took up her membership with the church of this city.
She has been a faithful Christian and a kind and loving wife and mother, and leaves besides her immediate family three brothers, a step mother and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
