Mrs. Jenkins was born March 31, 1913 in Rappahannock County snd was a daughter of the late Cumberland S. Bennett, Sr. and Octavia Rhoda Jenkins Bennett.
Mrs. Jenkins attended Piedmont Baptist Church in Sperryville and was a clerk at Giant Food Stores.
On May 13, 1933, she married Hubert David Jenkins, Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1978.
He is survived by one son, Hubert David Jenkins , Jr. (Betty) of Luray; two daughters, Margaret Henrietta Toth (Stanley)of Luray and Joyce Kaye Gregson (Jerry) of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Julia M. Johnson of Waldorf, MD; three brothers, John Bennett of Frederick, MD, Cumberland Seymour Bennett, Jr. of Gainesville, VA and Carroll Rector Bennett of Culpeper, VA; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 2, 2000 at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. David Johnson. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
