Bill had worked in quality control and as a machinist for A.F.I. Previously, he worked for Regin and for Flow Tech. He had also worked for Winners Circle Engineering in Monrovia. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and woodworking. He was a member of Monrovia Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, who raised him, George William Bennett, I and Mary Bennett. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Natalya Torres.
Survivors include his wife Juanita Hirschy Bennett; son Jamie Bennett; daughters Lyann Hobbs, Julie Torres, & Heidi Kenworthy; aunt Eleanor Phares, uncle James Bennett and grandchildren; Ryan Cox-Jordan, Layna, Gabriella, Gene & Marshall Hobbs, Veronica & Augustus Torres, Kaitlynn, Meghan and Hunter Bennett.
