He retired from Publix as a store manager after more than 25 years. He was an Army Air Forces veteran and a member of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include stepsons Steve D. of Brandon and Charles S. Powell of Laurel; sisters Edna Flowers of Gibsonton, Evelyn Farr of Zephyrhills, Betty Holoway of Brandon and Audrey Hope of Lithia; brothers Charles L. and Wayne, both of Plant City, Earnest A. of Bloomingdale, Clair E. of Mobile, Ala., Howard S. of Tampa and Frank of Kathleen, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10-11am Friday, with a service to follow, at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens. Published in Herald Tribune on October 12, 2004
