Services were yesterday (Thursday) at Gallant Funeral Home. The Rev. Glenn Hester officiated. Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Bennett was the son of the late Althis and Etta Cordell George Bennett and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jolean Frame, of Fayetteville and Mrs. Margaret Halcomb,of Flintville; two sons, Cecil Bennett,of Flintville and Ronnie Bennett, of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Emma Stewart of Flintville; two brothers, Hugh Bennett,of Fayetteville and Clyde Bennett,of Flintville; and eight grandchildren.
