The records in the files of the church adjacent to the Atlantic Cemetery indicate that Arthur is buried in this cemetery. However, the exact grave location within the cemetery has been lost.
After researching matters, I've discovered that the headstone and plot depicted in the attached photo was the result of an endowment by the Rev. Henry Johnson to another related Bennett family member, Samuel J Bennett.
Henry was married to May Frances Bennett, daughter of John W Bennett. She is buried in the same family plot with her infant daughter and father, John W Bennett.
The endowment was made to the family of Samuel Bennett (brother of John W Bennett)
My research has shown that the entire Samuel Bennett family is buried in the Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum in Holmdel, NJ and that the endowed plot in the Atlantic Cemetery was not utilized by them.
Nevertheless, for unexplained reasons the adjoining Atlantic Cemetery Church records show that Samuel is interred in that plot.
My conclusion is that it is possible that Arthur was buried in that plot and the records were mistakenly marked to indicate that it was Samuel that was buried there.
The plot is located in the front of the Atlantic Cemetery (near the parking lot) on the extreme left as you face it.
