Mrs. Capitola Mae Bennett died at her home on East Seventh street Monday evening after an illness from a heart condition dating back about a year and a half and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, the Rev. Floyd V. Brower conducting the service.
Mrs. Bennett was born in this city July 24, 1906, the daughter of Otis and Mabel Mitchell Cooper and lived all of her life in this city. She was aged 40 years, 10 months and 19 days. On July 30, 1938, she was married to Bob Bennett, in this city, who survives her. She united with the Presbyterian church last Easter, April 17, 1949. Although she had attended the church for many years.
Beside her husband, Mrs. Bennett is survived by two brothers, Otis Cooper of Auburn, Calif. and James Cooper, Caruthersville; four sisters, Mrs. Chas. F. Bradley and Mrs. John Jones, Paducah, Ky., Mrs. Aubrey McDaniles of El Paso, Tex. and Mrs. Charles Whitaker, Muldrough, Ky. and one aunt, Mrs. Belle Minton, Caruthersville.
LaForge Undertaking Company was in charge of arrangements.
