Longtime Duncan resident ROLLIN J. "DOC" BENNETT, 82, died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, in a Duncan hospital.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Eastside Church of Christ, with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennett was born Oct. 3, 1913, in Comanche to James M. and Maggie (Blackburn) Bennett. He worked for Halliburton Services until he retired after 31 years in 1973, and was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
He married Gladys E. Womack on Nov. 15, 1937, in Waurika.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Reba Louise Morgeson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Linda Barbour of Duncan; a son, James L. "Jim" Bennett of Duncan; and 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Loy Bennett, Paul Bennett and Fred Bennett.
Bearers will be Dean Bryant, Jack Roe, Gary Morgeson, Bob Morgeson, Larry Morgeson and Jerry Morgeson.
