Funeral services were held in the Nelson Presbyterian Church at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mabel Alexander, 82. She died early Sunday morning at Lutheran Hospital at Fort Dodge, Ia., where she had been a patient for ten days.

A former resident of Nelson, Mrs. Alexander had made her home at Fort Dodge for the past two years with her daughter, Miss Mildred Alexander, elementary supervisor of the Fort Dodge Community school district.

Mrs. Alexander was born May 15, 1879 in Jackson County, Minn. She was married to John E. Alexander at Hebron in 1899. Her husband preceded her in death as did several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. A.J. (Belle) Karraker of Venango, and Mrs. Velair Miller of Glendale, Calif., and three sons, John Elmer of Lakewood, Colo., Frank of Winter Haven, Fla., and Bruce of San Marino, Calif.

The Rev. Mr. Lyle Graff of the Nelson church officiated at the Wednesday rites. Burial was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
