In
memory of
Miss. Sally
Benjamin, daughter of
Mr. Roger & Mrs,
Elisabeth Banjamin, who
died Feb. 17, 1813: in the
20 year of her age.

If worth departed claims one heart felt lean
Oh stop and let it flow profusely here:
Where humbly lies, what once had every art.
To soothe, to cheer, to captivate the heart:
Sally the young, the gentle and the gay,
When call’d by Jesus, must no longer stay:
Heaven lent her to us, but for 19 years:
Then call’d her home, and left her friends
                        in tears.

Dear friends be wise. Tis time to know,
The fading state of things below.
Let every moment as it flies:
Direct your thoughts about the skies.
