Obituary.

Miss Nellie Benest, aged 19 years, 7 months and 8 days, died very suddenly at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Benest, in this city, at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 1st, 1894.

She had been sick but a few days, with typhoid fever, which the physician had broken but leaving her very weak, but it was thought that she was getting better, which made the blow so hard to bear by the relatives. Miss Benest was in the prime of womanhood and an only daughter. She was a faithful student while at school and had graduated from the Severy schools, and was one of our most promising teachers, having taught a very successful term of school near Climax last year and would have taught this year had her life been spared. It is hard for one so young to die, one who had such promising ambitions, one who is loved by all, an only daughter, one who has a beautiful home, but such is the cruel hand of death, picking off the best of God's children. Is it right?

The heartbroken parents, brothers and relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Congregational church after which the remains were laid to rest in Twin Groves cemetery.
