Carolyn Benedict, age 77 of Saranac, passed away April 10, 2015 in her home. She was born January 28, 1938 in Clarksville the daughter to Chester and Catherine (Tucker) Warner.
Carolyn graduated from Saranac High School, Class of 1956. She married Earl Benedict on April 21, 1957 in Saranac.
Carolyn was a member of Berlin Center Church and United Methodist Women (UMW). Carolyn worked at Gittleman's Clothing, Larry's Dime Store, and Meijer for 23 years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Earl Benedict of Saranac; daughter, Connie (Joe) Orlowski of Saranac; grandchildren, Ashley (Joshua) Ryan of Charlotte and Josh Orlowski of Saranac; great-grandchild, Cooper Ryan of Charlotte; brothers, Bill (Ellen) Warner of Ionia, Jim (Frances) Warner of Lowell, and Dan (Darlene) Warner of Scottsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles; and brothers, Jack, Gary, and Tom Warner.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 14th, 11 a.m. at Berlin Center Church with Pastor Ray Sundell and Pastor David Flagel officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 13th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
