Harry A. Bender, age 90 years, of Linglestown passed away at his home.
Born in Duncannon, he was the son of the late James W. and Jennie L. (Monmiller) Bender. He was retired from the Post Office in Harrisburg with 37 years service. He was a member of the Linglestown Church of God, Central Penn Health Club and an Army Veteran of World War II. Harry enjoyed reading, traveling, and metal detecting.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna Mae (McKillip)Bender; 2 sons, James E. and wife Debra of York Haven and Dennis K. and his wife Linda of Harrisburg; a daughter, Bonita S. Barton and her husband Mark of Mechanicsburg and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Linglestown Church of God with burial at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
