Odelia was born in Wellesley Township in 1890 to her parents, Adam Bender (1851-1935) and Rosina Seck (1851-1932).

She married Louis Bauer on September 01, 1913 at St. Clements RC Church.
They had 3 known children in Waterloo.
1. Eileen Bauer (1918-1987)
2. Wilbert Francis Bauer (1920-1942).
3. Anita Elizabeth Bauer (1923-2019) marr. (Grant Hammond).

Odelia passed away at the age of 64 years of age.

She is buried beside her husband in the Bauer Family Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery in kitchener, Ontario.
