Mrs. George W. Bender, 74, of 521 Whitney Ave., died at 2:50 a.m. Monday at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. She was the former Alice Silliman. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gorman McMullen, of Bethesda, Md., Sister Ruth Therese, of Grand Island, Neb., Mrs. Samuel Knipp and Mrs. Edgar Anderson; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, 2914 S. Third St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at Ratterman's, 2815 S. Fourth St., from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
