John Jack Benanti, 76, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Entombment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
John was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Charles and Mary Benanti. John was a photographer. He served his country as an airman in the U.S. Air Force and was a loving husband to his wife of 49 years, Rita Benanti. He had a strong love for his grandchildren and loved playing baseball with Jake and Nicholas. He also enjoyed wathching Jordan dance.
John was preceded in death by his son, Steven, and Rosemarie, his sister.
Survivors: His loving wife, Rita; son, James and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas and Jake; and daughter-in-law, Kathy.
