Aveline Belt, 83, of Greenup, Ky., went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2009, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mrs. Belt was born March 10, 1926, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Hattie Traylor of Greenup County.
Mrs. Belt attended Greenup Independent School in Greenup. She was a former cafeteria worker at Greenup County High School and a member of Coal Branch Community Church.
She was married to the late Charles W. Belt of Greenup. She raised one son, Hobart E. Marshall of Greenup.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Belt; a granddaughter, Kathy Marshall Wolfe; a brother, George Gordon; and a sister, Lillian Bates.
Survivors include her son, Hobart and Joy Marshall of Greenup; a great-granddaughter, Andrea Jo Wolfe of Greenup; a brother, Billy "Andy" and Maxine Gordon of Greenup; a sister-in-law, Louise Gordon of Greenup; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Preston and Addison Meadows of Greenup.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Gene Pierce. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Greenup.
