Thomas Lee Belt Sr., ~ Born near Palmer, TX in Ellis County to his pioneer father Eli Albert Belt and Emily Augusta Morgan Belt on September 2, 1916 was called to meet his heavenly Father on December 29, 2009. Mr. Belt had six half-brothers and sisters. Living in the Dallas area, he was one of five children. He and his beloved wife of 42 years, Dessie Marie Thomas Belt, who was called home in 1980, had two children, Patricia Bradley and Thomas Lee Belt, Jr. He is survived by his children and Patricia's husband Milton Bradley. He is also survived by his nephew, David Belt of Missouri. Having worked as a farmer and then as a baker, he served in the U.S. Army as a baker in England during World War II. He then started working in electro-plating, and owned B&B Plating. He loved making donuts for square dances, coin collections, making jewelry and western belt buckles, and dancing were important to him, but not half as much as reading the Bible. He called Abba Care Assisted Living in Garland, TX his home. Visitation will be 11:30am-1:30pm before funeral services at 2pm., Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Grove Hill Chapel. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
