Edward L. Bellinger Died in Cozad; Rites at St. Ann's
Edward L. Bellinger, 82, a resident of Lexington more than 40 years, died Monday evening at Southview Manor in Cozad where he had been a patient for the past several weeks.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Walter Phillips officiating. Interment was in St. Ann's Catholic cemetery at Lexington with Reynolds-Love Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Kevin Fagot, Randy Fagot, Dennis Williams, Mike Roe, Greg Fagot and Jeff Fagot.
He was born Feb. 28, 1903 at Manhattan, Kan. He served in the military service during World War II and soon after his discharge came to Lexington and was employed in construction work of the Tri-County Canal and Johnson Lake. He was united in marriage to Lillian Reed of Lexington who preceded him in death a number of years ago.
He was married to Mary Fagot of Lexington and they have made their home in Lexington since that time.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, Lexington; five nephews, one niece, and several step-children. Preceding him in death were his parents, first wife, Lillian, on brother and two sisters.
