"Minnie" was the first wife of Ferdinand "Fred" Belling. They were married in 1879 in Germany and had two children, Maria and Auguste, before immigrating to the states in 1883. They arrived in April and their third child, Martha was born in July in Appleton. They had a son, Frank, in 1884. Minnie died in 1886 but no death record can be found to say how she died. This left Fred with four children under the age of 4. Minnie was the first of the family to be buried in Riverside Cemetery.
