ELSIE BARNES
Mrs. Elsie Mary Barnes, 78, former resident of the Flathead, died at Lewistown, Wednesday morning.
She was born Sept. 11, 1895, at Ponca, Neb., a daughter of William and Nellie Beller. In 1909, she moved to Kalispell and had lived in the Flathead for many years. For the past few years, she has resided at Lewistown.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by one son, Gerald Barnes of Port Angeles, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Role of Columbia Falls; two brothers, Dean Beller of Kalispell and Claud Beller of Salmon, Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Lua Griffiths of Spokane, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Van Leuven Chapel at Columbia Falls at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Ralph Werner, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
