Janice Gelsleichter, 71, of Fernbrook, Dallas, passed away Wednesday at Hospice Care of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in East Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Leona Wilson Bellas.

She attended Dallas Township schools.

Before retiring, she was the owner of Busy Hands Stitchery, Dallas, and also was a cashier in the Dallas Junior High School cafeteria.

She was a member of Independent Bible Church, Duryea; past member of the Order Eastern Star, Dallas; and a founding member and first president of the Dallas Band Parents Association.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Bellas; sister, Vera Welitchko.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank C.; daughters, Brenda Henninger and her husband, John, Larksville; Diane Dymond and her husband, Donald, Centermoreland; Debra Stokes and her husband, John, Falls; sister, Daisy Williams, Lansdale; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Albert A. Cremard officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton.

Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
