John & Rachel Washburn had 12 children according to the 1900 Cenus and again in the 1910 Census. In 1900, only 3 of 12 children were living, by 1910, only 2 of 12 were living. That's a tragedy. Only 2 made it to have families of their own. Steven Charles Washburn and William Henry Washburn although William did marry, she died after only a few years of Pneumonia in 1928, and the two could only have been married after 1920. No known children for William and Mary Washburn. We only know a few of those that died and part of the 10 that died. Hartland P. Washburn, John Washburn, Kattie Washburn, & David Washburn. The names of the others, unless some documents show up, are forever lost.
