Carl Bellamy Is Found Dead In Bed Today

Carl Bellamy, 47, was found dead from a heart attack this morning at 7:05 o'clock at the home of John Harper, 413 N. Poplar street. According to Dr. Luther F. Beetem, county coroner, he died from an acute heart condition.

According to the city police who with the coroner were summoned to the scene, Bellamy had been ill and last night took some medicine, then laid down in his bed where he was found this morning.

He recently came to Madison from Gary, where his work was suspended because of a strike in the steel mills, the officers learned. Nathan Schneider and Harper, who were with him fund the body this morning.

The deceased is survived by his mother, a sister, Rose, who is married and lives at Scottsburg; also two brothers, John, of this city, and Byron, of the Plowhandle Point neighborhood.

The remains were taken to the Lytle funeral home pending burial arrangements.
