Gladys Mae Taylor Atchison was born on Feb. 16, 1920, in Moodys to Dave Wesley and Ada (Carroll) Bell, and passed away on Friday, July 28, 2006, in Broken Arrow.
Gladys was a fun loving and feisty lady who enjoyed having a good time with her family and friends, and especially loved spending the holidays with them.
She liked listening to gospel and country music, always enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Everybody Loves Raymond, and playing bingo with friends. Gladys also loved traveling with her second husband and took many trips in their recreational vehicle.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta. She was also a recent member of the Red Hat Society. Earlier in life, she was a longtime member of the Moodys Home Extension Club.

Taylor; her second husband, Ed Atchison; infant children Patricia and Teddy Dean Taylor; daughter Barbara Louise Mills and husband David Mills; granddaughter, Vicki Lynn Mills; sisters Lucille Carroll and Cordelia Kelley; and brothers, Leonard and Bill Bell.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Stafford and husband Alan of Haskell, and Lisa Dietz and husband John of Ponca City; sister, Seletha Kelley of Tahlequah; three grandchildren, Donecia Acuff of Bixby and Katherine and Sarah Dietz of Ponca City; great-grandchild, Davin Acuff of Bixby; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends and loved ones.
