Stella Mae Adams, nee Bell, 98, Gray Summit, passed away Monday, June 9, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Adams was born Sept. 5, 1904, in Lynn Creek, the daughter of Joseph Bell and wife Mary Jane, nee Ash.
She received her education in Leasburg.
On April 19, 1924, in Crawford County, she was united in marriage to William Henry Adams.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Valley Park Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adams; her parents, Joseph and Mary Bell; four sons, Millard, William Jr.,James and Paul Adams; and two daughters, Pauline Adams and Mildred Aycock.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Pemberton and husband Riley, Gray Summit, and Betty Jo Parks and
husband Rolla, St. Clair; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Adams and May Palmer, both of Fenton, and Emma Quick, Vienna; 15
grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; greatnephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11, at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific, with the Rev. Roy Gibbs
Interment was in Sunset Cemetery, Pacific.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
The Adams family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
