Ruby Bell Ard, 67, 800 Hacker Road, died Friday, April 19 at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland following an illness of one year.

She was born in Somerset on March 18, 1918, daughter of the late Bud and Mattie Brown Bell.

Survivors include nine children, Donald Girdler and Milred Leisure, both of Chicago, Ill., Elzie, LEslie, Robert "Buck", Arthur and Lloyd Ard, Betty Jo Ping and Linda Kay Mattox, all of Somerset; a brother, Hubert Bell, Union City, Ind; two sisters, Cloria Daulton, Goshen, Ohio, and Maudie Leiter, Warsaw, Ind; 17 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death on July 11, 1981, by her husband, Hobert Ard, whom she married on June 16, 1937, in Somerset; three brothers, Bob , Everett and Goldie Bell; a sister, Clara Tucker and four grandchildren.

She was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church, where services will be held at 2 p.m.m Sunday with Rev. Bill Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin after 5 p/m/ tomorrow at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
