Lois Imogene Bell 87, went to Heaven January 12, 2012.

A memorial service will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday January 18, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Lawrenceville GA. A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. Monday January 23, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia Mo.

Lois was born October 26, 1924 in Drumright OK. She married the late Harold Glenn Bell SR. in 1948 and they lived in Wellsville Mo. until 1979 when she relocated to Columbia, Mo. in 1996, Lois moved to Atlanta Ga. area residing with her eldest son, Harold Glenn Bell Jr, until his passing in 2000 and then with her youngest son, Jerry Dean Bell prior to her move to the Life Care Center of Lawrenceville Ga. in 2007.

Lois is survived by seven children, Jerry Bell of Lawrenceville Ga, Richard Bell of Mexico Mo. Michael Bell of Dallas TX. Carolynn Rogers of Orlando FL. Rosa English , Dixie Bell and Marilynn Bell of Columbia Mo. Lois also appreciated the endearing friendship of Besty Podreznk and Peggy Davis of the Atlanta Ga area. Lois is survived by 18 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the local Public Library to supplement and enrich resourses for the visually impaired. At the age of 4, Lois survived a severe illness with high fever that permanently diminished her vision. Yet she successfully raised 8 children in the most meager of rural circumstancees . Her favorite past time was reading books with a magnifying glass or listening to books on tape provided by the local library and services for the blind.
