Robert L. Bell, age 89 of New Prague, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died Aug. 6, 2007 at Mala Strana Nursing Home, New Prague.
He was born July 31, 1918 in Rochester, Minn. to Frank and Nira (Wallace) Bell. Robert attended Rochester schools, Winona State Teachers College, and received a Masters degree in mathematics from Oregon State.
Robert married Lucille M. Ray on June 3, 1942 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.
Robert was an Austin High School Industrial Arts teacher until the mid-1960's, and then taught mathematics at Austin Junior College until his retirement.
He was active in the New Prague Rotary Club.
Robert is survived by sons: Gerald Robert (Marian) Bell, Hutchinson, Minn. and Keith Allen (Mary) Bell, Houston, Texas; brother: Loren (Jean) Bell of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by wife Lucille M. (Ray) Bell (died July 3, 1998), son Ronald Bell (in infancy) and his parents.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Prague, Minn., preceded by a two hour visitation. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.
