Valdeen B. Henderson, age 94 of Wenatchee, passed away on June 12, 2006, at Colonial Vista. She was born April 23, 1912, to Claude and Harriet Bell in St. Louis, MO.
After her father's death in 1918, the family moved to Lewistown, MT where they resided until 1925, when they moved to Wenatchee.
Valdeen married Ernest Tolbert in 1930, and had one son, Jerry, now both deceased. In 1941, Valdeen was employed by the State of Washington and retired there after 32 years. In 1946, she married Floyd Henderson, who died in 1979. After his death, she traveled extensively, touring many parts of the world. Valdeen was very active doing volunteer work at the hospital, museum and the Senior Center. She was a member of United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were here parents; brothers, LaVern and Claude; sister, Madge Hipsher; son, Jerry and husband, Floyd. Valdeen is survived by granddaughter, Kelly Keepers and husband, Todd; grandsons, Steve Kamphaus and wife, Nita and Barry Tolbert; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Keepers and Kimberly Kamphaus. She is also survived by her dearest daughter-in-law, Dona and husband, Bob Butler; dear friend, Betty Fortune; and two wonderful brothers-in-law, Elton and Everett Henderson.
Interment was at Wenatchee City Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Services are under the care of Betts Funeral Service.
