She was born Esther Gustafson on Feb. 21, 1891, in Sweden, and later moved with her family to Illinois. On April 5, 1920, she married Charles W. Bell, at Omaha, Neb., and in 1933 they moved to the Lake Chelan area. Mrs. Bell served as a practical nurse for local doctor there.
In 1941 the family moved to Holden and later to Quincy. They returned to Manson in 1976, and in 1978 they moved to Wauconda. Mr. Bell preceded her in death in April of 1979.
Survivors include one son, Carl, Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Anna Westlake, Wauconda, and Louise Hanson, Kirkland; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, three brothers and three sisters.
