Mary Virginia (Cason) Bell, 75, of Waynesboro passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Born August 22, 1935 in Middlebrook, she was the daughter of the late Roger R. and Dorothy L. (Benson) Cason and step-daughter to the late Iva Cason.
Mrs. Bell was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren. She retired from General Electric/Genicom after 42 years of faithful service. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in both her yard and garden, riding, quilting, crocheting and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, J. Titus Bell, Jr.; son, Roger Lee Bell; daughter, Patsy Ann Bell; sisters, Reba Avis and Phylis (Honey) Lucas.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter, Brenda Toot and husband Larry of Dover, PA; special friend, Buddy Spears of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Barker and husband Henry of Waynesboro; brother-in-law, Paul Bell and wife Shirley of Richmond; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and very close friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Black officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren, 19 Browns Lane, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980 or the American Cancer Society, 3042 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA22901.
