Mrs. Alma Lillian Bell passed away Sunday evening, February 22, 2009, at her Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 16 days. Alma was born June 6, 1913, in Marquand, Missouri, and was the daughter of Newton Lorance and Virginia 'Sitzes' Lorance. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Dr. Clifton R. Bell (March 27, 2007); also, several sisters and brothers.

Alma was a retired schoolteacher and taught at both Galesburg, Illinois, and Farmington, Missouri. Alma was a longtime, faithful member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington. Alma was also a member of the Farmington Fortnightly Club; The Methodist Quilters; and often volunteered at Parkland Hospital in Farmington.

Survivors include: a daughter, Judith V. Bell, of Palisade, Colorado; and one niece, Dorothy Norris, (wife of Reverend Jim Norris), of Jackson, Missouri.

Visitation : Wednesday, 1:00 p.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., February 25, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Reverend Jim Norris officiating.

Interment follows at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington.
