Isaac "Ike" Bell was born on January 2, 1942 to the union of Milton and Bernice Bell in Wardell. He was called to be with the Lord on July 12 at the NHC Healthcare Nursing Home in Kennett.
He accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of the St. Paul M.B. Church in Homestown. He was united in marriage to Mary "Doll" in 1963. He graduated in Central High School in Hayti. He was employed at East Bay Camp in Lake Bloomington, Illinois; later was employed by Caterpillar Company in East Peoria, Illinois where he became an electrician; later becoming an electrician contractor in Peoria, he also worked for Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Issac was a loving person, and would always greet you with a smile; once you met him, you would not forget him; he was your friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Bernice Bell, two brothers, Milton Bell, Jr. and Nelson Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Mary Frances Bell of Homestown; his sons, Clarence (Lisa) Hampton of Homestown and Isaac Dawson of Springfield, Illinois; two sisters, Curley Mae Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia and Neiloree Bell of Bloomington, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Issac Bryant of Wichita, Kansas, Clarence Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia, Velma and Dominic Bryant of Homestown, Angela Hampton of Memphis, Jessica Hampton and Mary Ann Meadows of Humboldt, Tennessee and Clarence Hampton, Jr., of Louisville, Kentucky, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
