Funeral services for Howard Bartlett Bell, 66 years of age, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon, August 8, from the Lyon Funeral Home. The Rev. J. W. Brown, Louisville, will conduct the services and burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Mr. Bell, in the plumbing business in Campbellsville for several years, is widely known in the county and he was a member of Pipe Fitters Local Union 522 in Louisville. Mr. Bell was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church and was a native of the county. Mr. Bell died after an extended illness on Tuesday, August 6 at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville. He was married to Dona Newcomb Nov. 1, 1916, who survives him. Besides his wife, he leaves three children, all of Campbellsville: James Bell, Raymond Bell, and Mrs. Thomas Osborne and six grandchildren. He leaves two brothers, Alvia Bell and Bobby Bell. The pallbearers will be: Carl Lewis, J. H. Rainwater, Wallace Jones, Clarence R. Cook, Fuller Harding, and Leonard Barnes.
