MRS. ALBERT BELLGARDT
MONTROSE - Mrs. Albert Bellgardt, 91, a resident of the Montrose area since 1906, died Sunday at her home after short illness.
Mrs, Bellgardt and her husband began homesteading in Bostwick Park shortly after their arrival from Germany in 1906. They observed their 69th wedding anniversary April 27. The former Matilda Kallwey, she was born May 21, 1873, at Kirchlinde, Germany.
She was married at Dartmund, Germany, April 27, 1895.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, August Bellgardt of Montrose and
Henry Bellgardt of Raymond, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller of
Raymond; Mrs. J. E. (Anna) Berryhill of Grand Junction, Mrs. Leroy (Matilda) Tucker
of Delta, and Mrs. Elmer (Louise) Topliss of Montrose; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p m Wednesday in the Valley Funeral Home. The Rev. William F. Wietzke. pastor of St. John's Luthern Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery.
