Rolan Bell, 65 Dies; Services Held Monday

Rolan Bell, 65, of West died Friday night in a Waco hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday at the First United Methodist Church in West, Rev. Charles McClure and Rev. George Hearne officiating. Burial was in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mr. Bell was born in Woodbury, Tenn., and came to the Brandon area of Hill County when he was two. He was a resident of the West area 45 years. He married Lillian Peterson in West on Sept. 13, 1930. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in West and a member of the board of stewards of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Bell; one son, James Bell of Rosebud; three daughters, Mrs. R.B. (Melbarene) Reese of Dallas, Mrs. Frankie Lee (Shellie) Uptmore and Mrs. Donald F. (Dovie) Jares, both of West; four brothers, Vernon Bell and Tommie Bell, both of Hillsboro, Horton Bell of Ft. Worth and Hoyt Bell of Hook; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Ball of Hillsboro and Mrs. Bertha Vaughn of Sanger, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were J.T. Luco, David Moon, Frank Murphy, Ernest Bezdek, Jim Greene and Matthew Filer.
