"Jacob S. Bell died at his home in Bradford, Ohio, September 21, 1916, at 4:15 o'clock, aged 73 years, six months, and 13 days. He was born on a farm near Hardin, Shelby county, May 8, 1843. On October 18, 1877 he was united in marriage to Anna West. The early years of their married life were spent on a farm near Gettysburg, Ohio. About 31 years ago they moved to Bradford, where they have resided ever since, he being in the employ of the railroad company until his retirement on pension. His wife and three children, Bertha, Frank and Dora survive him. Two children, Harry and Nora, died in infancy. He was the youngest of his father's family, and was the last to pass over the river."
